Apparel Archetypes

Rafael Adón's apparel line is a testament to the beauty and nobility of craftsmanship, a value deeply ingrained from my upbringing on the agrarian ranch fields and excavation quarries along the Colorado River in the Californian Sonoran Desert. This passion for meticulous work was nurtured by my paternal grandmother, Nicolasa Córdova, a self-taught seamstress who created wonders with her pedal-powered Singer sewing machine, and whose magic I watched unfold countless times.

Each piece is a timeless artifact, inspired by cherished family stories, beloved ancestors, or vintage garments, meticulously brought to life through my designs and the skilled hands of my cousin, Imelda, who is the seamstress for our line. We utilize upcycled vintage quilts and deadstock fabric, ensuring that every garment is not only beautiful and durable but also sustainable. Every design is an archetype, embodying the rich narratives of our family's past, and presenting them in a form that can be cherished for generations. Our commitment is to create heirloom quality goods that honor our heritage and craftsmanship.
